7:32 am - It's a Little Bit Parky Out There!

Snow is nice I think but only if you are under 11, a dog or indoors and don't have to go out in the near future. I have been amazed yet again at the way a few days of snowy weather have resulted in the whole of the UK being even more totally focused on the weather than normal. Also the way things totally grind to a halt with more the a half an inch of the fluffy white stuff.
The weather is the subject that always becomes the topic discussed when you get two or more Brits together in any setting. I think it is because it is something everyone has in common and it is a totally non confrontational subject. Well mostly anyway!
I feel sorry for the birds. Scratching away in the snow doesn't have the same juicy insect results that scratching in the dirt produces. So they are reduced to finding a garden and hanging out in the hope someone feeds them whil hoping the neighbourhood cats at all too busy sleeping in front of the fire to creep up on them.
